natyapedia.blogspot.com: Dr. Om Prakash Bharti, a Social activist, Folklorist and dramaturge, has authored six plays, about 150 research articles and 18 research books in the field of Performing Arts, Folklore, Cultural Studies and Indigenous Knowledge. For his contributions in the field of Letters and Performing Arts, Dr. Bharti has received several awards including, Indira Gandhi Rajbhasha Samman– 2008 of Home Ministry, Government of India and Mohan Rakesh Samman– 2009 of Sahitya Kala Parishad, Government of Delhi. As an art administrator, he has lead and headed different important positions including the Director (Diplomatic Rank) of SVCC, Fiji, Director of EZCC(Kolkata), NEZCC(Dimapur) & JNMDA (Imphal) under Ministry of Culture, Government of India; Deputy Secretary, SNA (National Academy of Performing Arts), New Delhi. Dr. Bharti has conceived, designed and executed more than eight hundred festivals, seminars, exhibitions and workshops at national and international repute. He has also established and designed Himalaya World Museum in Sikkim and Ramayana International Arts Museum at Saharsa (Bihar). Presently he is working at Performing Arts Department in MGAHV, Wardha.
